چکیده مقاله:

Th This quasi-experimental study aimed to examine the effect of an eight-week neuromuscular exercise program on muscle electrical activity in individuals with forward head posture. Using a pretest-posttest design with a control group, ۲۰ female students aged ۱۸ to ۲۵ years were randomly assigned to either a neuromuscular exercise group or a control group. Surface electromyography was employed to assess muscle electrical activity. Following baseline assessment, the exercise group completed an eight-week intervention, whereas the control group maintained their usual activities. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, paired t-test, analysis of covariance, and Bonferroni post hoc test, with the significance level set at ۰.۰۵. The findings indicated that the intervention significantly reduced upper trapezius muscle electrical activity (p < ۰.۰۰۱). These results suggest that neuromuscular exercises are effective in improving neuromuscular outcomes associated with forward head posture and may be considered a beneficial intervention for addressing postural dysfunction
