Rescue in Critical Moments: Emergency Dispatch in Crisis Management Caused by Accidents, A Systematic Review

Background: Emergency Dispatch plays a key role in the management of crises caused by accidents, and due to the increasing number of road accidents and the need for a quick and effective response, this study analyzes the methods and protocols available in Emergency Dispatch, which can have a significant effect on the clinical results of head and neck trauma patients. Materials and Methods: This systematic review was done using Persian and English keywords without time limit in Google scholar, Web of science, PubMed, SID, Magiran, Scopus, ProQuest databases. Results: In the initial search, ۲۰۸ articles were found, after removing duplicates and including inclusion/exclusion criteria, finally ۱۸ articles were analyzed in line with the objectives of this study. Conclusion: The research shows that the use of modern software such as geographic information systems (GIS) and crisis management software can help improve response time and resource allocation. In addition to this, continuous training of dispatch personnel and relief teams in the field of quick identification of types of injuries and prioritization of patients is of great importance. Also, working closely with hospitals to create patient transfer protocols can help reduce side effects caused by delays in treatment, and considering the challenges that exist in this field, it is suggested that more investment be made in new technologies and staff training. Also, creating collaborative networks between relief teams and treatment centers can improve the clinical results of head trauma patients. Finally, paying attention to these points can help save human lives and reduce side effects caused by accidents.
