چکیده مقاله:

Occupational mental health has emerged as a critical concern for prison staff worldwide due to the unique combination of chronic exposure to stressors, demanding work environments, and organizational constraints. This study investigates the interplay between key organizational factors—including perceived organizational support, work-life balance, and workplace relationships—and their collective impact on prison employees' mental well-being. Using a structured survey approach, data were collected from staff members in a provincial correctional facility. A combination of reliability checks, factor analyses, and regression modeling was employed to assess the relevance and predictive power of the organizational variables. The findings underscore that a supportive work environment, fair relationships among staff and management, and the ability to maintain work-life balance are closely associated with better psychological outcomes. The study highlights the practical importance of organizational strategies that reinforce supportive leadership, equitable communication, and respect for employees' personal lives. These insights can guide policymakers and prison administrators in designing interventions that mitigate work-related stress and enhance the well-being and resilience of correctional personnel. The implications suggest that investing in mental health promotion at the organizational level is not only essential for employee welfare but also contributes to the overall safety and performance of correctional institutions.
