چکیده مقاله:
This study aims to develop geo engineering strategies for designing bio based megastructures with self healing capabilities and soil generation functions in order to reverse desertification in the Iranian Plateau. The research is applied in nature and adopts a futures oriented perspective using a descriptive analytical methodology. Data were collected through documentary and library research. The statistical population consisted of scientific, technical, and theoretical literature related to building biotechnology, geo engineering, spatial justice, and desertification management. A purposive and theoretical sampling method was employed. Data collection tools included systematic note taking and content analysis of reputable scientific sources. The validity of the study was supported through references to leading international publications. Data analysis was conducted using conceptual synthesis and comparative analysis. The findings indicate that the use of self healing bio concrete containing Bacillus bacteria and cyanobacteria represents an innovative approach to increasing the lifespan of structures in Iran’s arid climate. Furthermore, biological soil crusts (biocrusts) cultivated under the shading systems of megastructures can contribute to desert land restoration and stabilization of drifting sands. Overall, the results suggest that designing bio based megastructures based on spatial justice principles can provide an operational model for addressing desertification and promoting sustainable development across the Iranian Plateau.
