چکیده مقاله:
Coaching has emerged as a transformative intervention within hospital settings, addressing critical challenges in healthcare delivery including professional burnout, clinical performance plateaus, and leadership development needs. This article synthesizes historical development, empirical evidence, and theoretical frameworks to present a comprehensive analysis of coaching's multidimensional impact. Through systematic review of randomized controlled trials and implementation studies, we demonstrate that structured coaching programs significantly reduce physician burnout, enhance surgical technical skills, and develop leadership capabilities among healthcare administrators. The evidence establishes that coaching's efficacy is rooted in its ability to operationalize self-determination theory by supporting autonomy, competence, and relatedness among healthcare professionals. Furthermore, we examine the implementation challenges and organizational prerequisites for successful coaching integration, including the need for cultural alignment and sustainable resource allocation. The analysis reveals coaching not as a remedial tool but as a strategic investment in human capital that generates compounding returns through improved staff retention, enhanced patient safety, and strengthened organizational resilience. We conclude that coaching represents a paradigm shift in healthcare professional development, offering a versatile methodology for creating more humane, effective, and adaptive hospital environments.
