چکیده مقاله:

The present study aims to investigate the role of emotional intelligence on leadership style and strategic management, with an emphasis on the mediating role of leadership style, in nascent service companies in Hormozgan province (case study: Ahura Services Hormozgan Company). This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive‑survey (correlational) in nature. The statistical population consisted of managers and experts of nascent service companies in Hormozgan province, of whom ۱۵۹ persons participated in the study through a full enumeration method. The findings, after confirming the validity and reliability of the instruments, show that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on leadership style; leadership style also has a strong and significant impact on strategic management. Furthermore, emotional intelligence directly influences strategic management, and finally, the significant mediating role of leadership style in the relationship between emotional intelligence and strategic management was confirmed. In other words, managers of nascent service companies in Hormozgan can not only rely on their emotional intelligence to directly formulate more effective strategies, but it is emotional intelligence that first shapes their leadership style, and it is then this leadership style that transforms strategic management. Given the specific conditions of Hormozgan province – including an economy dependent on ports and maritime industries, international sanctions, currency fluctuations, hot climate, and high labour turnover – the findings of this study indicate that investing in emotional intelligence training for managers and reforming their leadership style towards flexible and participative leadership can be the most important strategy for the survival and growth of nascent service companies. If these companies rely solely on technical knowledge and rational intelligence, they will be vulnerable to environmental pressures; but by strengthening emotional intelligence and effective leadership style, they will be able to turn strategic management into a dynamic, up‑to‑date capability and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.
