چکیده مقاله:
Abstract
Background and Objectives: Providing quality services by nurses, especially nurses in intensive care units, depends on strengthening their health and mental health. In this regard, this study was conducted to determine the effect of spiritual intervention based on a GHALB SALIM model (GSM) on self-efficacy and resilience of nurses in the special hospitals of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences (SKUMS). This study examined the effects of spiritual intervention based on the GSM on the self-efficacy and resilience of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses.
Methods: The present study employed a quasi-experimental design. The statistical population of this study included the nurses of the ICU of Hajar and Ayatollah Kashani hospitals in SKUMS. From among them, ۸۰ nurses were selected by the available sampling method. First, the questionnaires of demographic characteristics, self-efficacy, and resilience were completed virtually at the beginning of the study. Spiritual intervention based on the GSM was provided through an ۱۸-session program, delivered virtually (۱۶ sessions) and face-to-face (۲ sessions). Questionnaires were completed before, immediately, and ۳ months after the intervention in both groups. Data were analyzed using SPSS/۲۴ with independent t-tests and analysis of covariance.
Results: Level of self-efficacy changed to ۶۵.۷۰ (۷.۳۰) and ۶۷.۱۸ (۶.۳۹) immediately and three months after the intervention, respectively (p<۰.۰۱). The test group had a mean baseline resilience score of ۷۰.۶۵ (۹.۲۰). It changed to ۷۲.۲۸ (۱۱.۱۰) and ۷۷.۷۳ (۹.۹۵) immediately and three months after the intervention, respectively (p<۰.۰۲).
Conclusion: Spiritual intervention based on the GSM can strengthen self-efficacy and increase the level of resilience of nurses. By utilizing such spiritual intervention models, the performance level of nurses can be enhanced, and the quality of services provided to patients, particularly in ICUs, can be improved
