Financial Management in the Era of Big Data: Challenges and Opportunities

In recent years, the expansion of digital technologies and the increasing volume of data production have led to the emergence of a phenomenon known as “Big Data,” which has profoundly influenced decision-making and managerial practices within organizations. Financial management, as one of the core pillars of the economic system, has been significantly affected by these developments and has shifted toward data-driven approaches. Big data analytics enables financial managers to evaluate financial performance, forecast risks, and optimize investment decisions with greater accuracy and speed. However, challenges such as data security, data quality, and the need for appropriate technological infrastructure still persist. This paper aims to examine the role of big data in transforming financial management by analyzing its opportunities, challenges, and future outlook in the digital era. The results indicate that integrating data analytics technologies with financial management principles can lead to an intelligent, efficient, and forward-looking economic decision-making system.
