Experimental study of Nutrients Injection for activation of reservoir indigenous Micro organisms to reduce Surface Tension and increase production

In recent years, efficiency and impact of Micro organisms and their Metabolic Products in increasing Producible Oil, which is called MicrobialEnhanced Oil Recovery, has been discussed to great extend. EnhancedOil Recovery using microorganisms is done through two major methods: Internal Method and External Method. For the purpose of this study, the internal method was discussed, since it has many advantages over external method, including less time required for the adaptation of microorganisms with the environment, lack of growth of microorganismsin the Wellbore and its Plug, prevention of harms to the ReservoirEcosystem, and etc. Using a specific ratio of Nutrient Injection we stimulate Micro Organisms, change Surface tension and create Wettability. In general, decrease in surface tension in the reservoir optimizes oil production rates.
