چکیده مقاله:
This review seeks to examine a variety of adverse factors that affect students' learning process, as well as their subsequent implications for learning success. Despite the educational system's aim of promoting effective learning, a variety of barriers hinder students' cognitive engagement and success, as highlighted in this review. The review identifies these adverse factors as falling under three main domains: psychological, structural, and technological factors. The psychological factors are those related to anxiety, stress, and lack of motivation, while structural factors are those related to environmental factors, such as lack of resources and large classes. The review seeks to synthesize current research findings that show a detailed account of how these factors intersect to create a cumulative problem for students' learning success. The review indicates, for instance, that psychological stressors may cumulatively affect structural factors, resulting in adverse effects on students' learning and success. The review also seeks to show the need for a holistic approach to educational reforms, recommending a need to address these intersecting adversities. In conclusion, this review, therefore, seeks to not only show a need for a more critical understanding of the need to address adverse damages to learning success but also to offer recommendations to educators on how to address these issues for the betterment of students' well-being and success.
