The Mediating Role of Sexual and Emotional Intimacy in the Link Between Spousal Sacrifice and Children's Resilience in Stressed Families: A Meta-Analytic Review

This meta-analytic review investigates the mediating role of sexual and emotional intimacy in the relationship between spousal sacrifice and children's resilience within families experiencing stress. Drawing upon a comprehensive search of academic literature published between ۲۰۲۰ and ۲۰۲۵, this study synthesizes findings from diverse research to provide a quantitative summary of these complex interrelationships. The analysis includes effect sizes for the direct and indirect pathways, utilizing advanced meta-analytic techniques to account for variability across studies. Key findings reveal significant associations between spousal sacrifice and marital intimacy, marital intimacy and children's resilience, and a notable mediating effect of intimacy in the overall pathway. The implications of these findings for family interventions and future research are discussed.
