Network Meta-Analysis of the Relationships Between Cyberspace Anxiety, Hopelessness, and Suicidal Ideation During Socio-Political Crises (۲۰۲۰-۲۰۲۵)

The digital era has introduced new dimensions to psychological distress, particularly during periods of socio-political instability. This network meta-analysis investigates the complex interplay between cyberspace anxiety, hopelessness, and suicidal ideation within the context of global and regional crises from ۲۰۲۰ to ۲۰۲۵. By synthesizing data from ۱۸ primary studies and systematic reviews, including significant contributions from Persian academic literature, this study maps the pathways through which digital exposure and socio-political stressors exacerbate mental health vulnerabilities. The findings reveal that cyberspace anxiety serves as a critical entry point into a network of distress, where hopelessness acts as a central mediator leading to suicidal ideation. The analysis quantifies the pooled effect sizes of these relationships and identifies socio-political crisis as a potent moderator that strengthens the edges of the mental health network. The results underscore the necessity for integrated digital and social interventions to mitigate the rising tide of suicidal ideation in the modern era.
