چکیده مقاله:

In this study, the role of motivation in activating teachers' content knowledge—considered a critical component of educational expertise—has been examined. The research aims to provide practical recommendations for enhancing the teaching and learning process. A descriptive-analytical approach was employed to facilitate an in-depth and precise analysis of the data. The statistical population comprised ۲۵۰ English teachers in secondary schools within Region ۱ of Isfahan city. A simple random sampling method was used to select a sample of ۱۲۰ teachers. Data were collected through a researcher-designed questionnaire that assessed motivation and its impact on activating content knowledge in education. The questionnaire was validated for content validity and reliability to ensure the accuracy of the results. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software, with a one-sample t-test applied as the statistical method. The findings reveal a positive and statistically significant relationship between teacher motivation and the activation of content knowledge. Furthermore, teachers exhibiting higher levels of motivation tend to employ more innovative teaching methods and are more effective in activating their content knowledge. These results underscore the importance of motivation in enhancing teaching quality and learning outcomes. They also offer valuable insights for policymakers and educational authorities aiming to develop more effective support and professional development programs for teachers.
