چکیده مقاله:

Primary health care (PHC) is widely recognised as the cornerstone of equitable, cost-effective, and people-centred health systems. Since the Alma-Ata Declaration named on the Kazaksthan capital of Alma Ata where the declaration was adopted by WHO and UNICEF in ۱۹۷۸, in the international conference on primary healthcare and its reaffirmation in the Astana Declaration, PHC has been positioned as the foundation for achieving universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals. Yet, despite decades of global consensus, nutrition—one of the most fundamental determinants of health—continues to occupy a peripheral role within primary health care systems. This persistent neglect undermines the effectiveness of PHC and weakens health systems’ ability to prevent disease, reduce inequalities, and promote long-term population health.
