چکیده مقاله:

Climate change has become one of the most significant global challenges affecting both natural and human systems, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions where environmental conditions are already fragile. Rising temperatures, prolonged droughts, and increasing water scarcity have fundamentally altered human settlement patterns and intensified migration processes across vulnerable regions. These environmental pressures reduce agricultural productivity, weaken local economies, and undermine the sustainability of long-established communities. As a result, populations are increasingly forced to adopt adaptive strategies, including temporary, seasonal, or permanent migration. This article examines the relationship between climate change, human settlement patterns, and migration dynamics in arid and semi-arid regions through a comprehensive review of existing literature. The study highlights key drivers of climate-induced migration, explores socio-economic and spatial consequences, and discusses policy implications for sustainable development and resilience planning.
