چکیده مقاله:
Infertility profoundly stresses life, and its treatment through in vitro fertilization (IVF) is associated with a significant psychological challenge, especially depression. This systematic review synthesizes findings from recent empirical studies (۲۰۱۰-۲۰۲۵) to identify psychological risk and protective factors influencing depression in women undergoing IVF. Key risk factors include high anxiety, low self-esteem, and a hopeless emotional state, which amplify depressive symptoms during the IVF process. Protective factors serve as critical moderators that mitigate severe depression and are especially important given the high levels of risk and the significant clinical implications if depression becomes fully manifested. The findings underscore the urgent need for tailored psychological interventions within the reproductive health services that integrate care across disciplines, including critical psychosocial aspects of treatment.
