This study aims to investigate the behavior of the Re-entrant structure under low-temperature conditions. To this end, Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament was acquired and used to fabricate dumbbell-shaped specimens and Re-entrant structures using the Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) technique. To determine the basic mechanical properties of the employed PLA, a series of tensile tests was conducted on the dumbbell-shaped specimens along with the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique under two different environmental conditions: room temperature and −۱۵ °C. Subsequently, uniaxial compressive loading was applied to the Re-entrant structures to evaluate their mechanical performance under the same temperature conditions. In addition to the experimental investigations, Finite Element (FE) analysis was employed on the examined lattices to study their stress distribution and plastic deformation during compressive loading. Finally, the experimental results were utilized to validate the FE analysis.
