This paper presents the Grey Francolinus Algorithm, a novel approach for enhancing swarm robotics through bio-inspired strategies drawn from the social behaviors and vocal communication of the grey francolin (Ortygornis pondicerianus). By imitating the complex song and calls of the bird, the algorithm enhances coordination, adaptability, and efficiency within robotic swarms that must navigate through complex and dynamic environments. The Grey Francolinus Algorithm follows a framework that incorporates the principles of evolution, enabling the robots to adapt their communication patterns over time and respond effectively to environmental stimuli. The algorithm categorizes vocalizations into assertive and alarm calls, facilitating resource sharing, group cohesion, and threat response. A dynamic search mechanism synchronizes robot movements, optimizing area coverage and minimizing overlap. This work will not only contribute to swarm robotics but also inspire future research on the integration of different biological behaviors that can be applied in tasks like search and rescue, environmental monitoring, and execution of tasks collaboratively.
