Systematic evaluation of articles published in Web of Science with a focus on nanotechnology in the construction industry

Considering the progress of societies in recent years and the development of the dimensions of studies in various fields of nanotechnology application in the construction and architecture industry, examining the movement of thinkers, researchers, and topics studied globally can confirm future research needs in the field of nanotechnology, their relevance, and their impacts on the construction industry. The aim of this study is to review scientific articles published in the Web of Science database worldwide with a focus on the subject of nanotechnology and their research methods in order to provide a solution for improving future studies. This study reviews all articles published in WOS with a total of ۳۲۳۲ articles from ۶۲۷ different journals, published during the years ۱۹۹۶ to ۲۰۲۵, It examines issues related to nanotechnology in construction. This statistical assessment not only allows researchers and scholars to identify the most important journals based on the number of published papers in the field and stay up to date with the latest research, but they can also identify the places where the most research has been published and target their future contributions accordingly.
