Advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and their convergence as Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) have significantly reshaped the healthcare industry. These technologies enable real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and personalized treatment through data-driven insights and automation. This review paper explores the transformative role of AI and IoT in modern healthcare systems, focusing on machine learning (ML) algorithms and smart devices that enhance diagnostics, treatment, and administrative efficiency. Applications such as remote patient monitoring (RPM), diabetes management, drug discovery, and the emerging role of the Metaverse in healthcare are discussed. Despite their potential, challenges remain in ensuring data privacy, security, and model reliability. Ethical and technical concerns are also examined, including adversarial attacks, data quality issues, and user privacy risks. The paper emphasizes the need for robust frameworks and ethical guidelines to facilitate the secure and effective integration of AI and IoT in healthcare.
