چکیده مقاله:
The present article attempts to draw the intersection of Terrorism and Intellectuality in Don DeLillo's "Mao II" in the lens of Raymond Williams, and Gramsci's Studies. The concept of greatness in Mao's second to study the evolution of transcendental concept under the current conditions of the postmodernity in which the image was depicted. It is tried to read Mao's second in the light theories and draw on figures like Gramsci and Williams in DeLillo's novel. The researcher's purpose is to use a cultural studies approach to study the selected novel by Don DeLillo. They want to find out how American society has affected the characters and also how the society's ruling system can cause conflict between different cultures. Williams makes a big contribution to analyzing culture and art from a Marxist perspective by writing about them in the media. Also, the researcher shows how the characters' actions are influenced by the three main types of culture: dominant, residual, and emergent. This study looks at how people are divided into different groups through cultural control. As I read the novels, I noticed that the problems of terrorism, violence, and crime in American society are important. People are no longer polite and have become like scary monsters. The differences between the main, residual, and new cultures cause tension among people. In truth, each character and how he or she acts, represents a particular culture. The characters are discovering who they are and trying to find out who they really are in this crazy situation. Cultural rules in society separate people into groups like detectives, criminals, victims, and helpers.
