Traffic Management Strategies for Reducing Air Pollution: Innovative and Sustainable Approaches

Air pollution is one of the most significant environmental challenges in major cities, directly affecting human health and quality of life. Urban traffic is considered one of the primary sources of emissions and suspended particles in the air. This article aims to review scientific and practical strategies for reducing air pollution through urban traffic management and analyzes the key factors contributing to traffic and air pollution, their environmental impacts, and public health consequences. In addition, successful domestic and international experiences are examined. The results show that adopting modern technologies, developing public transportation, implementing restrictive policies for private vehicles, and smart urban planning can effectively reduce air pollution and improve the quality of life for citizens.
