Teaching methods play a critical role in shaping students’ learning experiences, engagement, and academic performance. This study conducted a comparative analysis of traditional and innovative teaching methods to examine their impact on student learning outcomes in primary and secondary education. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers, students, and parents, and review of instructional materials and lesson plans. The findings indicate that innovative teaching methods, such as active learning, project-based learning, cooperative learning, and flipped classrooms, significantly enhance student engagement, motivation, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities compared to traditional lecture-based approaches. Students in innovative classrooms demonstrated higher participation in discussions, collaboration with peers, and independent application of knowledge. Personalized learning and the integration of technology further supported diverse learning styles and improved understanding. While traditional methods provide structured content delivery and curriculum coverage, they are less effective in fostering active participation and higher-order cognitive skills. Overall, the study highlights that combining innovative strategies with traditional instruction can maximize learning outcomes, creating student-centered, interactive, and motivating learning environments. These findings suggest that educators should adopt a balanced approach to teaching, leveraging the strengths of both traditional and innovative methods to prepare students for academic, social, and future professional challenges.Keywords: teaching methods, traditional instruction, innovative instruction, active learning, student engagement, learning outcomes, collaborative learning, critical thinking
