چکیده مقاله:
Today the increasing environmental concerns and the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly synthesis methods for the production of nanostructured materials is of great importance. The present work reports green synthesis methods for graphitic carbon nitride (g-C۳N۴)-based nanostructures and their photocatalytic applications. Green synthesis of g-C۳N۴ using inexpensive precursors and simple and low-energy processes is considered a suitable alternative to traditional chemical synthesis methods. In this study, various green synthesis methods for g-C۳N۴, including the use of natural resources such as plant lignin and methods based on ultrasound and microwave waves, are discussed. Also, the factors affecting the morphology and optical and electronic properties of g-C۳N۴ nanostructures synthesized by green methods, including particle size, surface area, and porous structure, are investigated. In the following, the photocatalytic applications of greenly synthesized g-C۳N۴ nanostructures are evaluated in various fields, including organic pollutant degradation, ammonia production, and nitrate reduction. The results show that greenly synthesized g-C۳N۴ nanostructures have great potential for application in sustainable and environmentally friendly photocatalytic processes due to their unique properties, including high chemical and thermal stability, low cost, and remarkable photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation. Finally, the challenges and future prospects for the development of greenly synthesized g-C۳N۴ nanostructures for photocatalytic applications are discussed.
