چکیده مقاله:

Gas hydrates are crystalline structures formed from water and gas molecules under low-temperature and high-pressure conditions, posing both opportunities and challenges in energy and environmental applications such as natural gas transport and carbon capture. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of gas hydrate modeling, with a focus on thermodynamic and kinetic models used to predict hydrate formation and dissociation. Thermodynamic models, including the foundational Van der Waals and Platteeuw model and advanced approaches like sPC-SAFT, are discussed for their role in determining phase equilibrium. Kinetic models examine the rate of hydrate formation, influenced by factors such as temperature, pressure, and the presence of inhibitors. The paper also addresses the use of hydrate inhibitors-particularly kinetic hydrate inhibitors (KHIS)-and highlights emerging eco-friendly alternatives derived from agricultural waste. By integrating modeling insights with inhibitor strategies, this review supports improved prediction and control of gas hydrates in industrial systems, contributing to safer and more efficient operations in offshore and deepwater environments.
