چکیده مقاله:
Metal oxide nanostructures have attracted attention in the removal of aquatic pollutants due to their special surface properties and environmental compatibility. In this study, a hydrothermally synthesized zinc oxide nanostructured adsorbent using Aloe vera plant mucilage was investigated for the removal of yellow phenol dye from aqueous solution. The adsorbent characteristics were determined using XRD and EDX techniques. Adsorption experiments were performed under different conditions, including contact time, temperature, and initial dye concentration. Adsorption isotherm data showed that the Langmuir model with a maximum adsorption capacity of ۱۰۵.۲ mg/g was the best fit. Kinetic results indicated that it followed the pseudo-second-order model. Also, this adsorption process was performed endothermically. The synthesized nanoparticles in this study can be used as a potential adsorbent for the removal of aquatic pollutants.
