چکیده مقاله:
One of the essential foundations of Qur’anic exegesis is its systematic and rule-based nature. While this principle was self-evident for classical Muslim scholars, the rise of modern subjective and eclectic interpretive approaches has challenged its validity, making a renewed theoretical clarification necessary. This study adopts an analytical and descriptive method, grounded in rational argumentation and textual (naqli) evidence, to examine the systematic framework of understanding the Qur’an. Given that the Qur’an’s purpose is to guide all humanity, its linguistic structure and communicative style conform to rational norms shared by all speakers. An analysis of the communicative process shows that both the transmission and comprehension of meaning operate according to definable linguistic and cognitive rules. The meanings of Qur’anic verses are therefore determinate and accessible through disciplined interpretive principles Evidence from Qur’anic verses—such as ۳:۷—related hadiths on interpretation, and the long-standing scholarly tradition of tafsīr collectively affirm the rule-governed and objective nature of Qur’anic understanding. Consequently, only interpretations developed within this linguistic, rational, and evidential framework can be considered valid expressions of divine intent. Understanding of the Qur'an, Exegesis (Tafsir), Systematic Understanding of the Qur’an, Connection of the text to its author, Determinacy of the text's meaning.
