چکیده مقاله:
The development of interpersonal competence is a fundamental aspect of holistic education, influencing students’ ability to navigate social environments, build meaningful relationships, and achieve academic and personal success. Structured educational engagements, encompassing cooperative learning tasks, problem-solving projects, role-playing exercises, and extracurricular initiatives, provide students with intentional opportunities to practice communication, empathy, conflict resolution, and collaboration. Participation in these activities not only enhances observable social behaviors but also promotes emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and prosocial attitudes. The integration of varied educational experiences enables students to interact with peers in diverse contexts, reflect on their social performance, and internalize norms of constructive interaction. Research highlights that consistent involvement in well-facilitated activities supports both immediate social skill development and long-term adaptive functioning, preparing students for increasingly complex interpersonal and professional settings. This study examines the mechanisms through which structured educational engagements foster social growth, identifies the types of activities most effective in promoting interpersonal competence, and explores how these experiences contribute to a positive classroom climate and overall student development. The findings underscore the importance of intentional design, reflective practice, and diversity of engagement in cultivating students’ social and emotional capacities, emphasizing that social skill development is a central, rather than ancillary, component of education. In conclusion, fostering interpersonal competence through structured educational engagements provides students with essential tools for lifelong learning, collaboration, and societal participation.
