چکیده مقاله:

Nowadays, the importance and role of mineral resources in advancing human societies in various economic sectors is completely evident and are considered the foundation for industrial growth and development. Territories with mineral resources and raw materials possess favorable conditions for growth and development. If national industries have the capacity to convert these materials into consumer goods, it creates opportunities for employment, increased added value, and economic growth and development within the region. The present study aims to examine the economic impacts of iron ore mines on employment and the development of Khaf city, understand the relationship between various activities related to mining operations and the development of Khaf city, and investigate the factors influencing employment in the mines of this city (Zahra Zoufanoun, ۲۰۱۲). The Role of Mines in the Development of Sangan City. Given the population growth, the expansion of services related to mining, and the increase in construction within the city's boundaries, it appears that the expansion of iron ore mining activities—particularly in the services sector and direct employment—has been one of the main reasons behind the physical, economic, and social development of Khaf city. Iran, in terms of mineral reserves especially iron ore is a rich country and holds a significant position among other countries in the world. In Iran, several iron ore deposits have been identified, although only a portion of these deposits has been studied. The Sangan iron ore mines in Khaf, which hold the top position in the Middle East in terms of iron ore reserves, play a decisive role not only in employing a large portion of the local and national population but also in strengthening the national economy and activating the mining and industrial sectors. The establishment of industries and mines near cities leads to the expansion of communication and transportation networks and job creation under titles such as workers, employees, technicians, and engineers in these industrial centers. Undoubtedly, the presence of iron ore mines in this region has been one of the most influential factors in the physical development of the city, reduction of migration to other cities, reduction of unemployment, and job creation.
