Concretes containing calcium carbonate are known as self-healing smart concretes, as calcium carbonate crystals seal microcracks and improve concrete strength. This research investigates the effect of carbon black and steel fibers on the self-healing and self-sensing properties of smart concrete. Smart M۳۰ grade concrete incorporating carbon black and steel fibers was evaluated under compression and tension tests. The results indicated that these materials affect the compressive strength, tensile strength, and electrical resistivity of concrete at curing ages of ۳, ۷, and ۲۸ days. Concretes containing calcium carbonate require high humidity levels; when sufficient moisture is provided, they can even recover their initial strength after structural cracking. Conversely, if adequate moisture is not supplied, the strength of this concrete decreases. The results demonstrated that carbon black positively impacts electrical resistivity and, consequently, corrosion resistance, particularly in cubic specimens. The Arduino test method was used to assess the corrosion levels of all samples. Through non-destructive testing and the relationships between compressive, tensile, and electrical properties, it is possible to evaluate and optimize the corrosion resistance and durability of concrete. These methods are simple, cost-effective, and practical.
