چکیده مقاله:

In today's dynamic business environment, achieving strategic productivity is crucial for the survival and sustainable development of organizations. This research aims to elucidate the pivotal role of employee mental health and social well-being as the "golden key" to achieving this productivity, examining this in leading organizations. Increasing mental health challenges in the workplace, including rising stress and burnout, have become serious impediments to innovation, commitment, and performance, costing the global economy trillions of dollars annually (WHO, ۲۰۱۹; The Lancet Psychiatry, ۲۰۲۰). Many organizations, even seemingly leading ones, still address these issues with isolated and reactive approaches, while the lack of a comprehensive social well-being strategy (encompassing work-life balance, social support, and positive organizational culture) severely impacts sustainable productivity (CIPD, ۲۰۲۰; Grawitch et al., ۲۰۰۶).This article, through an analysis of theoretical literature and empirical evidence, emphasizes that investing in employee mental health and social well-being is not only an ethical responsibility but also a strategic investment with significant return on investment (ROI), leading to increased innovation, organizational resilience, talent attraction and retention, and improved organizational culture (Deloitte, ۲۰۱۷; Loehr & Schwartz, ۲۰۰۳). It is argued that leading organizations view mental health and social well-being as a strategic lever for creating sustainable competitive advantage and achieving their long-term goals. By highlighting existing research gaps, including the need for integrated models, longitudinal studies with an emphasis on strategic ROI, and an examination of leadership's role and cultural differences, this research paves the way for future investigations.
