چکیده مقاله:

The pronunciation of the letter "L" is one of the complex and important phonemes across different languages, consisting of two primary types: the "Light L" and the "Dark L," which differ in their articulatory production and tongue placement in the mouth. In English, this distinction plays a crucial role in the clarity and accuracy of speech and has received special attention in language teaching. In contrast, in Kurdish and Persian, the pronunciation is mostly realized as the Light L, with Dark L occurrences being rare or almost unofficial. This article provides a comparative review of the relevant literature on L pronunciation in the three aforementioned languages, analyzing acoustic features, tongue movement characteristics.
