چکیده مقاله:
Transmission pipelines are essential for delivering natural gas to residential and industrial consumers. However, they face significant challenges, including high energy consumption, emissions from compressor stations, and reduced gas turbine efficiency under varying ambient conditions. To address these issues, a comprehensive, multi-objective optimization strategy is needed. This study presents an integrated approach to enhancing energy efficiency, minimizing environmental impact, and improving economic performance through the strategic configuration and operation of gas turbines and compressors in natural gas pipelines. By incorporating both basic and upgraded gas turbine models while accounting for their specific constraints, this approach bridges gaps in previous research. The energy aspect focuses on optimizing fuel consumption, the environmental aspect targets emission reduction, and the economic aspect involves selecting the most efficient gas turbine configurations across stations. A real-world case study demonstrated the approach’s effectiveness, achieving an average ۸.۷% improvement in economic performance, a ۱.۳% increase in energy efficiency, and an ۸.۷۵% reduction in environmental impact under high ambient temperatures. This framework provides pipeline designers with a practical solution to optimize operations, reduce energy use and emissions, and ensure a reliable natural gas supply.
