چکیده مقاله:
The statements that the Qur’an was sent down by Almighty Allah and that it is preserved by Him are definite both in terms of its proof and indication [“Undoubtedly, We sent the Zikr (the Qur’an) down, We; and (of course until the Day of Judgment ), we are its guardians (preserving this holy text from being changed and degenerated).” Hijri ۹]. In other words, the Almighty Qur’an is protected by Allah, who sent it. Although there is no disagreement among the scholars on this issue, it is recorded in many narrations in the Hadith Sources, Ulumu’l-Qur’an and Tafsir that some suras were shortened while they were long before, and some verses were completely forgotten. While similar narrations are subject to criticism when they are mentioned in different sources, it is observed that they are not filtered with reasonable and moderate criteria when they appear in works accepted as “ours”. In this research, such narrations are criticised in an absolute sense, by ignoring where they take place. These narrations are taken into consideration by dealing together with the fact that the Qur’an has been preserved, where they take place, on which subjects they concentrate, what kind of contradictions and inconsistencies exist between them.
