A Study on Non-Penal Support for Female Victims in Qur'anic Thought

Victimized women are among the most vulnerable groups in society, frequently exposed to heightened risks. This condition makes them deserve special protection. These protections, given the nature of crimes committed against women, often manifest through psychological and emotional support mechanisms. Accordingly, Islam has shown particular concern for vulnerable populations, especially women, children, and the elderly, and has extended both direct and indirect forms of support to them through various means. This paper aims to examine and analyze the Qur’anic provisions regarding the protection of victimized women. Through a review-based approach, combined with analysis of relevant Qur’anic verses and scholarly interpretations, The Holy Qur’an explicitly acknowledges this issue and guides it. Various verses establish support for vulnerable and harmed individuals, specifically emphasizing women.
