چکیده مقاله:
Treating infectious diseases, especially diseases caused by resistant pathogens, has become one of the biggest health care challenges worldwide. Marine microorganisms are a rich source of bioactive secondary metabolites that play an important role in the development of new pharmacological agents.Materials and Methods: Alcoholic extract of Nanochloropsis algae was prepared by Soxhlet method and then the antimicrobial effects of alcoholic extract on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were investigated. The antibacterial properties of the extracts were first investigated by tubular dilution in liquid medium and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum lethal concentration (MBC) were determined using different concentrations of extracts. The results of MIC and MBC tests showed that. Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were the most sensitive bacteria and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was the most resistant to algae extract. Therefore, it is suggested that alcoholic algae extract has antimicrobial effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria and can be considered as an antibacterial product in the treatment of infections caused by these two microorganisms.Treating infectious diseases, especially diseases caused by resistant pathogens, has become one of the biggest health care challenges worldwide.
