Strategic Planning for Optimal Utilization of Urban Facilities

Background & Objective: Rapid urban population growth and the limitations of physical resources have heightened the need for optimal use of urban facilities and spaces. This paper aims to propose a strategic planning framework to ensure efficient, sustainable, and multifunctional utilization of urban facilities. Methods: This research follows a descriptive-analytical approach, relying on literature review, urban planning documents, and case studies of successful global models in urban space management. Results: The findings reveal that adopting participatory planning methods, analyzing local needs, integrating cultural, sports, and social functions, and applying maintenance and regeneration policies significantly improve the effectiveness of urban facility use. Conclusion: Strategic planning in the management of urban facilities not only optimizes resource use and reduces costs but also enhances quality of life, social interaction, and urban sustainability.
