Green Accounting and Its Impact on Environmental Cost Management in Urban Sports

With increasing global concerns about environmental issues, especially in urban areas, the importance of managing environmental costs in sports projects and activities has grown significantly. Green accounting, as a modern approach, serves as a tool for identifying, measuring, and reporting environmental costs and benefits. This study aims to examine the impact of green accounting on environmental cost management in urban sports. The research was designed as an applied, descriptive-analytical study, and data were collected through library sources and questionnaires. Findings indicate that the use of green accounting not only enhances financial transparency in urban sports projects but also increases the ability to attract investors and reduce costs arising from environmental impacts.
