چکیده مقاله:
Peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) is a serious form of heart muscle disease that can manifest during the late stages of pregnancy or shortly after childbirth, leading to significant maternal health complications. The variable presentation of PPCM poses diagnostic challenges for healthcare providers, necessitating a thorough understanding of its clinical features and outcomes. A range of demographic, obstetric, and health-related factors may influence the risk of developing this condition, although the exact mechanisms underlying these associations need further research. Recent studies suggest that inflammatory processes and cellular stress mechanisms could play critical roles in the onset and progression of pregnancy-related cardiac disorders. Consequently, identifying reliable biomarkers that can predict disease severity and clinical outcomes is of paramount importance. Certain blood-based inflammatory markers, commonly available in clinical practice, may provide valuable insights into the prognosis of PPCM and enhance patient management strategies. By exploring the relationships between these biomarkers and clinical outcomes, healthcare professionals can deepen their understanding of disease progression and refine their approaches to patient care. Ultimately, development of accessible and cost-effective biomarkers holds significant potential for improving clinical decision-making in the management of pregnancy-related cardiac conditions, thereby enhancing maternal health and outcomes.
