چکیده مقاله:
ATPases are crucial in insect physiology, regulating ion transport, energy metabolism, and cellular homeostasis. Among them, P-type and V-ATPase are of particular interest due to their essential functions in insect survival and their potential as novel targets for pest management. RNA interference (RNAi) has emerged as a promising genetic tool for silencing key insect genes, including ATPase-encoding genes, offering an alternative to conventional chemical insecticides. This review discusses RNAi delivery strategies, target gene selection, and validation methodologies, highlighting recent breakthroughs in genome-wide RNAi screens and high-throughput functional genomics. Furthermore, we examine the integration of RNAi with other pest control technologies, such as CRISPR-based gene editing, to enhance insecticidal efficacy and mitigate insecticide resistance. The environmental, ecological, and regulatory implications of ATPase RNAi in pest control are also considered, focusing on potential risks, ethical considerations, and sustainable agricultural applications. Despite its promise, RNAi-based pest control faces challenges, including variability in RNAi efficiency across insect species, the development of RNAi resistance, and the need for long-term ecological assessments. Future research should focus on improving RNAi delivery systems, optimizing gene silencing specificity, and integrating multi-omics approaches to identify novel ATPase targets. This review underscores the potential of ATPase RNAi as a transformative strategy in insect pest management. It highlights key areas for further investigation to achieve effective and sustainable pest control solutions.
