چکیده مقاله:

Cesarean section (CS), one of the most common surgical procedures worldwide, is associated with significant postoperative challenges, including persistent pain and delayed wound healing. While conventional pharmacological treatments such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and opioids remain standard, their use is often limited due to side effects. In recent years, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) has received increasing attention as a safe and effective adjunct to conventional care. This narrative review synthesizes evidence from clinical trials on the effectiveness of various complementary therapies—including herbal medicine, aromatherapy, massage, and acupressure—in managing post-cesarean section pain and enhancing wound healing. This article, conducted using an analysis of ۲۸ clinical trials, highlights the more promising outcomes of interventions and discusses their mechanisms, safety, and practical implications for maternal care. The findings highlight the potential of integrated strategies to improve post-surgical recovery and support comprehensive postpartum well-being.
