چکیده مقاله:
Today, natural and eco-friendly dyes have gained significant importance in textile dyeing, especially for silk fibers. The aim of this study is to dye silk fibers with the dye present in the Pul Biber plant (Aleppo pepper) and to investigate its color characteristics and fastness properties. The dyeing process was carried out using three methods: pre-mordanting, simultaneous mordanting, and post-mordanting, in the presence of common metal salts (potassium aluminum sulfate, copper sulfate, and ferrous sulfate) as mordants. The effect of acetic acid in improving the dyeing conditions was also investigated. The color characteristics of the dyed samples were measured in the CIE(L*a*b*) system, and the hue angle evaluation of the samples showed that the resulting color hues from this plant are in the red-yellow range. The washing and rubbing fastness of the dyed samples, with and without mordants, were evaluated according to the ISO-۱۰۵-CO۱ standard. The results showed that the samples have moderate washing fastness and excellent rubbing fastness.
