It is required to construct many facilities and amenities in an appropriate site with specific conditions, including access to sunlight, wind, etc. to use solar and wind energies for electricity power generation. Accordingly, the present research aimed to assess the optimal location of energy generation facilities to supply energy. The present study was analytical-correlational in terms of method and applied research in terms of objective. The data were gathered from ideas presented by experts in different academic and industrial contexts. Hence, opinions of university professors, managers, supervisors, energy management experts, consultants, instructors, and scholars in different educational and consultation scopes were obtained through free semi-structured interviews. Based on the results of the qualitative part of the current research, regions were selected for investigation in the next stages. According to the obtained results, the best and worst solutions of the algorithms were similar for numerical samples with small dimensions, indicating the similarity of solutions in different runs. However, the gradual expansion in dimensions led to an increased difference between the best and worst solutions, while the deviation value of solutions from the global optimal value was at a reliable level. Therefore, the proposed algorithms had appropriate efficiency, while the grey wolf optimizer (GWO) could generate better solutions for objective functions using a mathematical multi-objective model. This analytical-correlational research aimed at the optimal location of facilities for power generation to supply energy.
