چکیده مقاله:
Energy storage is a promising approach to address the challenge of intermittent generation from renewables on the electric grid. The exploitation of local renewable energy sources (RES) in combination with energy storage technologies can be a promising solution for the sustainable electrification of these areas. As industries and governments seek cleaner alternatives to fossil fuels, hydrogen batteries have the potential to reshape energy storage, power transportation, and even stabilize power grids. Hydrogen (H۲) is an alternative fuel that can be produced from diverse domestic resources, including renewables, and is expected to play an important, multi-pronged role in decarbonizing the transportation sector. To that end, government and industry are working toward clean, economical, and safe hydrogen production and distribution for use in transportation applications that cannot easily be decarbonized through electrification with batteries, such as ۲۴-hour operations, long-haul operations, and operations in locations where the electric grid cannot economically support battery electric vehicles. Hydrogen is abundant in our environment. It's stored in water (H۲O), hydrocarbons (such as methane, CH۴), and other organic matter.
