A novel hydrogel nanocomposite based on poly (acrylic acid) grafted onto sodium alginate/ silver: synthesis and characterization

The synthesis of a novel hydrogel nanocomposite based on poly (acrylic acid) grafted onto sodium alginate/ silver is reported. The obtained hydrogel nanocomposite was characterized with scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). SEM and TEM analyses revealed the obtained hydrogel nanocomposite possesses highly prose structure and silver nanopaticles with the size of 5-10 nm. Also, the obtained hydrogel nanocomposite shows excellent pH sensivity.
