چکیده مقاله:
Overgrazing poses a significant threat to the regeneration and sustainability of many tree species, particularly in arid and semi-arid ecosystems. This study reviews the effects of excessive grazing on the early growth stages of trees (case study: Tecomella undulata, a valuable native tree species known for its ecological and economic importance). Through reviewing scientific literatures published from ۲۰۰۰-۲۰۲۵, seedling survival, growth rate, and physiological responses were monitored under varying grazing pressures. Results indicate that overgrazing substantially reduces seedling survival and growth, primarily due to physical damage, soil compaction, and resource competition. The findings highlight the critical need for sustainable grazing management practices to ensure the successful establishment and conservation of T. undulata populations. This research contributes to a better understanding of plant-herbivore interactions and offers insights for restoring degraded landscapes affected by overgrazing.
