Language is the key element in human development and serves as our primary means of communication. speaking proficiency primarily emphasizes accuracy and fluency. Fluency encompasses the flow, smoothness, pace, and ease of speech production. One of the most significant technological tools for students seeking information is the internet, which also offers a wealth of entertainment options, including online games. Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, often referred to as PUBG, is a game in the MMOFPS (Massive Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter) genre, essentially an online shooting game that can be played with numerous participants. PUBG provides various communication tools, including audio chat through voice and quick chat options for all players. In these games, players can interact with others from around the world, often using English to communicate. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Online-Game especially PUBG on the speaking fluency. To fill the gap, ۴۰ intermediate EFL female students were selected randomly. First, the Oxford Placement Test (OPT) was administered to determine the homogeneity of these Iranian EFL students. Learners in this research were divided into experimental (n=۱۵) and control (n=۱۵) groups, each with a different teaching system. Both groups were given pre-test and post-test. SPSS version ۲۷ was used to analyze the data and findings. The findings of the study indicated that the treatment was effective, showing clear differences in learning processes between the experimental and control groups. the results show that online games, particularly PUBG, has a positive effect on speaking fluency.
