چکیده مقاله:

Vocabulary acquisition represents an essential pillar for accomplishing proficiency in English as a Foreign Language (EFL), yet it constitutes a great and frequently chronic undertaking for freshmen globally. The emergence and rapid maturation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have ushered in a brand new technology of revolutionary tools and sophisticated methodologies that appear poised to extensively reshape language education practices. This article undertakes a comprehensive exploration of AI's complex effect specifically within the domain of EFL vocabulary learning. It meticulously examines the demonstrable benefits, including statistically supported improvements in learning performance and vocabulary retention, the availability of highly individualized learning experiences through adaptive algorithms, and accelerated learner motivation. Concurrently, it addresses the inherent challenges, encompassing chronic technical limitations in areas like subtle language nuances and significant ethical considerations surrounding data privacy, algorithmic bias, and equitable access. The evaluation analyzes various AI tools, evaluates their potential in mitigating common vocabulary learning problems encountered by EFL students, discusses future technological trajectories, and synthesizes primary conclusions to deliver a thorough assessment of AI's evolving and increasingly significant role in EFL vocabulary acquisition.
