چکیده مقاله:

In this study, a novel colorimetric chemosensor based on the Erythrosine-Arginine (ERS-Arg) complex was developed and evaluated for the selective and sensitive detection of fluoride ions (F) in an aqueous medium. The sensor is based on a noticeable visible color change due to a fluoride-induced disruption of the ERS-Arg complex, which was thoroughly characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The noticeable bathochromic shift and absorbance intensity change confirmed the formation of a fluoride-complex interaction. The sensor was highly selective for fluoride against other common anions with minimal interference. The fluoride concentration reciprocal was linearly related to absorbance, following the Benesi-Hildebrand model (R² = ۰.۹۹۲۲), which confirmed a ۱:۱ binding stoichiometry. Application of the sensor for analysis in real water samples (tap, mineral, and river water) yielded high recovery values (۹۳-۱۰۰%), proving its practical applicability. The low cost, ease of use, and response speed of the ERS-Arg system show excellent potential for on-site determination of fluoride in environmental, and possibly biomedical, analyses.
