چکیده مقاله:

This study examines the morphodynamic behavior of the main drainage channel at the North Tiab shrimp farm under the influence of tidal fluctuations and unstable discharges from shrimp pond operations. The aim of this research is to analyze the combined effects of tidal fluctuations and unstable discharges on sedimentary and erosional changes in the drainage channel. Field data were collected from cross-sectional surveys and longitudinal profiles of the channel, and bed elevation changes (AZ) along the channel were analyzed. The results showed that tidal fluctuations affect only the downstream section of the channel, near the estuary, leading to significant sediment deposition in this area, while erosion was observed in the upstream sections. Additionally, bed changes in the middle section occurred gradually with smaller slopes. This study revealed that the effects of tidal fluctuations and unstable discharges lead to a reduction in the hydraulic capacity of the channel and increased environmental and economic problems. It is recommended that the timing of pond water discharges be coordinated with tidal cycles, and regular dredging in critical sections of the channel be carried out to prevent the reduction of hydraulic capacity and sedimentation.
